The overall design leverages the benefits of the M-hull to offer outstanding offshore performance never before achieved in a forty-foot yacht. Because of the smooth ride quality, you can now cruise offshore at nearly double the speed of conventional monohulls in rough conditions.
The styling objective of the Wave Eater M 40 was to match the remarkable performance of the M-hull with an equally compelling presence above the water. The angular cabin and spacious cockpit reflect the influence of M Ship’s military designs, while the interior strikes a luxurious tone with warm fabrics, bamboo wall coverings and Avonite countertops. The curved bulkheads and cantilevered platforms create a contemporary style while maximizing the internal space.
This is an exciting growth period for the Company. With the successful launch of the Wave Eater M 40 Sportfisher, the Company anticipates future applications of the M-hull in the military, commercial, and recreational markets.
M Ship Co. is a privately financed research and design firm formed to develop the innovative M-hull technology, which is protected by six national and international patents. The M-hull, unlike anything seen before, evolved from a challenge to solve the serious problem of wave erosion to the ancient buildings of Venice, Italy. The resulting low-wake technology has since found other applications worldwide.
