The Stiletto is an advanced-technology vessel designed and built by the M Ship Company as an operational experiment for the Department of Defense. It was developed for high-speed military missions in the shallow water areas of the littorals in support of the late Vice Admiral Arthur Cebrowski's vision of a "brown-water navy" for expeditionary combat in the 21st century. No other vessel compares to its speed, ride quality, payload capability and shallow draft.
The Stiletto is the largest composite boat built for the military and reaches speeds of over 50 knots. Its advanced M-hull Technology allows it to operate in waters as shallow as three-feet without creating significant wake. At speed, the ride quality is significantly better than a conventional planing vessel and the wide beam allows for cavernous storage space with modular payload capabilities. The Stiletto is designed to launch and retrieve an 11-M-RIB and support unmanned aerial, surface and subsurface vehicles.
