M-Ship’s line of Utility Workboats are individually designed and configured to meet each client’s specific needs. Our CAD/CAM process provides the client with “plug and play” conceptual creativity, while providing for a highly cost-effective and affordable workboat.
M-Ship’s single-M Utility Workboat designs are available in vessel ranging from 20’ to 50’ in length. Double-M hullform designs are available for even larger vessels.
Our patented M-Hull design yields a work platform that is incredibly stable in a range of sea condition, with excellent rough-water ride quality. The M-Hull volume distribution and open-deck layout yield a wide range of cargo loading conditions. As the vessel accelerates, air is captured in the tunnels, generating significant vertical lift which improves top end speed and overall fuel economy. This captured air also yields minimal trim variations throughout the vessel’s speed range.
The M-Hull’s skirts provide for exceptional lateral stability, and minimal wake generation, even at the highest speeds. Our vessel draft is quite shallow, and the skirts support the craft evenly in beaching conditions. A landing-craft style bow, as shown here, provides for exceptionally easy and versatile cargo transport. Deck cranes are available, along with other outfit equipment options.
Our Utility Workboats typically feature all-welded aluminum construction for durability and toughness. That said, steel and composite design options are offered, too.
Vessel powering and outfit options are tailored to each client’s needs. We carefully consider and optimize vessel weight and trim, propulsion system options, horsepower, speed, fuel capacity, range, payload configurations, accommodation requirements, and budget.
A custom M-Ship Utility Workboat can expand your organizations horizons, whether: commercial fishing or transport, construction, fire and police protection, port authorities, oil spill control, or pure recreation and pleasure.
